Public Announcement: 2012-06-15, Kanata, ONTARIO Breckenhill's William (Bill) Wilson completes his Interchange Agreement with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and returns to full duties as CEO.
Today Breckenhill announced
their CEO, William (Bill) Wilson
has completed his term as Chief Privacy
Technologist with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
(OPC). Mr. Wilson was working with the OPC
under an Interchange Agreement
since 2009.
During
his term Mr. Wilson helped to build capacity within the OPC to meet the ever
increasing challenges of
examining and evaluating the
adequacy of IT controls employed
by government and business to
protect the personal information
of Canadians.
From June 2009 until July 2011
Mr. Wilson held the role of
Senior Advisor within the Audit
and Review Branch. While
there, he was responsible for
defining, conducting and
reporting on the IT components
of audits related to the
protection of personal
information for both public and
private sector organizations.

As Chief Privacy Technologist
Mr. Wilson lead the Technology
Analysis Branch. In this
role he was responsible for
increasing the technical
capabilities of the OPC by
teaming together the brightest
and best research technologists
and IT auditors and building the
technology lab into a world
leading privacy research
facility.
